What is Absent With Out Leave?
The term "absent without leave" (AWOL) refers to personnel who are on a specific leave, who do not report for duty on the scheduled reporting date. What is an AWOL at practice for regular people (not military persons). This will mean that the person has been absent without official leave. Thus, the leave will be counted as absent without official leave.
Most employers will take an absence without leave (AWOL) seriously, even if you have a good excuse for missing work. It can result in disciplinary action or legal consequences. In most cases, it's best to avoid this situation.
