What is a blended workforce?
A blended workforce mixes full-time and part-time employees, contingent workers, and freelancers. It is a new trend in how companies organize their workforce. It can help employers get work done more efficiently by using the right people at the right time for each task.
Blended Workforce Benefits
- Reduce costs — A blended workforce allows companies to reduce costs by reducing headcount while maintaining productivity levels or increasing them without adding additional staff members.
- Improve flexibility — A blended workforce gives employers more flexibility when hiring and firing employees and increasing or decreasing workloads based on demand fluctuations over time periods that last longer than traditional contracts would allow (e.g., months instead of weeks).
