What are the 4 c’s of onboarding?
Onboarding is the process of incorporating new employees into your business, ensuring that they feel welcome and supported in their new roles. It's a crucial part of a company's culture because it gets new hires acclimated to the company and its values quickly, so they can start working productively right away. The 4 Cs of onboarding is a powerful learning philosophy. It's based on research, and it can be used in your own business to make sure your employees are properly trained and ready to hit the ground running. Here are four keys to making sure your new employees have everything they need:
- Complying with regulations. This step focuses on making sure that new employees understand their company's policies and procedures. This means that they know what they can and cannot do, as well as how they should interact with other employees in order to fit into the company culture.
- Clarify expectations. Clarifying expectations early on is an important part of onboarding. You want to make sure that you both understand what your employee will do, and that he or she understands what you expect from them.
